Forestry Technical Assistance Request
Our dedicated staff of foresters and arborists are here to help! All technical assistance services are available to residents of Spokane County.
We offer a range of services including Firewise/HIZ Assessment, Tree/Landscape Assessment, Hazard Tree Risk Assessment, and Forest Technical Assistance.
Wildfires
It is important that landowners in the Spokane area can prevent catastrophic wildfire damage to homes and property by using Firewise principles. Spokane County residents are eligible to get a free Firewise Risk Assessment to evaluate your home’s risk.
Community Forestry
The Forestry Department of the Spokane Conservation District (SCD) applies an ecologically-balanced approach to managing, utilizing, and protecting the forest and wildlife resources. Our foresters are available to assist private forest owners, local rural governments and communities, and backyard tree owners.
Tree Sale
SCD’s Spring Tree Sale offers a variety of native trees and shrubs for conservation purposes such as wildlife habitat, windbreaks, hedgerows, reforestation and stream enhancement. They also work great on home and garden projects.
